  • Great New Hampshire Nature Walks and Scenic Vistas

Some of the best spots for a short walk and to take in a large vista are not necessarily marked or signed. We have many pull outs around the region on any of our Scenic Byways that offer great places to pull over and take a minute to explore. So, if you like a spot that you see, don’t be afraid to pull over and stay a while.

The Moose Path Scenic Byway, Connecticut River Scenic Byway, Woodlands Heritage Trail Scenic Byway, and Great North Woods Scenic Byway, which make up all of the major routes in Northern NH, provide many locations to stop, walk, and take it all in. From small walking paths down to the shore of the Androscoggin River, Lakefront picnic locations around the Connecticut Lakes, Wayside Rest Areas with picnic benches, scenic pull offs with mountain views, or a simple walk down one of our Main Streets. All of these and many more locations provide visitors with no shortage of places to take in mother nature’s visual beauty along easy hiking trails in NH.
