  • Northern New Hampshire’s Craft Breweries

Schilling Beer Co. (Littleton, NH) is a very well-known and highly respected brewery in the craft beer scene, often collaborating with other breweries around the country and world alike.  Established in 2015, Schilling Beer Co. has become a staple for locals and visitors for almost a decade. They offer a diverse range of high-quality brews that will take your taste buds on a ride they will never forget and spark conversations between friends and family of what tasting notes are being found. One of the notable aspects of Schilling Beer Co. is its cozy and inviting atmosphere.

The brewery features a rustic taproom inside of a renovated mill. The old wooden water wheel is still intact though no longer operational. The original brew pub, which serves mouth watering wood fired pizza, is now sandwiched beside two of it’s other buildings, a 7500 sq.ft. brewery with tasting room, and second restaurant called The Kitchen where you can find delicious American fare. This “Campus”  offers ample outdoor seating and overlooks the gorgeous Ammonoosuc River, directly beside Littleton’s famous wooden covered walking bridge.

Additionally, Schilling Beer Co. frequently hosts events, such as live music performances and food truck gatherings, further enhancing the community-centered experience. Do yourself a favor, if you like great beer, food, and atmosphere…..and give it a look. You will not be disappointed.

Coos Brewing Co.(Colebrook NH)- Coös Brewing Company is a fantastic  boutique brewery located in the Connecticut Lakes Region region of Northern New Hampshire. The brewery and restaurant sits on the banks of the Connecticut River and produces small batch award winning beer with tender care, laboriously and thoughtfully.  Like any great artist they are never satisfied and strive with intense focus and humility to continue to push the limits of what great beer and food can be .

The beer garden is inside the brewery so you can watch the brewmasters work their craft. With terrific modern food it is a must stop for anyone going through Colebrook NH.

Insider Tip: Road signage is non-existent on purpose making your discovery of this gem’s location a fun treasure hunt. But not to worry, your GPS will bring you there easy peasy.

The Copper Pig Brewery (Lancaster NH)

If you like cozy charm and real pub ambiance, The Copper Pig Brewery is your spot. The restaurant and brewery is located in the red brick basement of an old bank on Main Street Lancaster, with sparkling copper bar and old bank vaults included. Unlike the other breweries in Northern NH, you won’t find their beers anywhere else as they do not distribute their small batch magic. This award winning treasure is a must stop for lunch or after a long day of adventure in Northern New Hampshire. The property sits on the banks of the Israel River in Lancaster NH and offers great views from its outdoor patio.

Rek’lis Brewing Co.: (Bethelhem NH) – Since you are on vacation, why not get a little reckless! This brewery’s reputation and popularity has been growing so much over the years that the property itself has had to grow with it. In the beginning they only had one property, a renovated house which still serves as their main indoor restaurant and brew pub. But, as the line out the door continued to grow, they had to add more and more outdoor seating until it became what it is now,  one of the coolest spots to dine and sip in the area. They also had to move their brewery into a brand new facility located directly behind the Brew Pub to make room. Just when you thought that that would do it….it didn’t….so they had to build a separate building for folks who would just like to sample their amazing brews but not eat a full meal. Thus The Pint House was born and serves 9 or 10 of their mouth watering creations on a rotating basis, so you’ll always have something new to try as the seasons change.

    Big Day Brewing: (Gorham NH)

Big Day Brewing is a winter Apre’ Ski destination for anyone who has spent the day on the slopes at Wildcat Ski Area or x-country skiing at Great Glen Trails. In the summer mountain bikers who are returning from riding The Coos Trails system (which starts from the back of Big Day’s parking lot )have a hard time resisting a pint and some grub before getting back in the car and heading home. Who can blame them, they earned it. The food is great, the beer is delicious, and with spacious indoor and outdoor seating in their newly built brewery/restaurant  a visit is a no brainer. There is live music on the weekends, trivia night during the week, and we locals feel blessed that they chose to make Gorham their home. Check them out!
